CULINAIRE, a dynamic, privately-owned company headquartered in Texas, is seeking an enthusiastic, highly organized Banquet Manager for the Embassy Suites Plaza in Kansas City. You will report to the Food and Beverage Director and must be able to perform effectively in each of these areas:

* Hiring, training and supervision of the banquet wait staff and house staff in the set-up and service of banquets
* Adherence to CULINAIRE's high service standards
* Scheduling of staff and control of labor expenses
* Inventory management of smallwares, linens and furniture

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Our ideal candidate will have:

* At least 2 years of banquet management or supervisory experience
* Strong floor presence
* High energy and ability to work multiple events at any given time
* Strong background in staff training to achieve and maintain desired service levels
* Good communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work flexible hours and be available to work afternoons, evenings and weekends when
events are held
* Good job stability and excellent references
* Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management is preferred
