DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

The School of Education at Claflin University invites applications for a nine-month tenure-track assistant/associate professor position in the area of Human Performance and Recreation. Specific responsibilities include teaching effectively; providing sound academic advisement; conducting socially significant research; pursuing external funding; providing service to the University, profession and community; and utilizing opportunities to initiate growth in the Human performance and Recreation program.

QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate (ABD considered) in the area of Recreation, Leisure Studies, or other relevant field from a regionally accredited institution. College teaching experience is preferred.

SALARY: Commensurate with experience
