Here is an organization that we have never worked with before. It looked interesting, but have any of our student heard/interned with them before? If so, let me know your experiences with them. Read on:
We are a national sports broadcast production, event development, franchise manager, marketing as well as media & public relations firm with roots dating back to 1956, The firm offers unique internships that provide professional academic/work experience concepts.. The firm's President is an adjunct professor in Graduate Schools of Sports Administration and is serving his 18th term as President of the Metropolitan New York Football Writers Association.
Before being accepted into the internship program, candidates are required to submit a 200-word essay on what they want to be doing in the Sports Industry five years from now. Journalism interns should possess a generic understanding of the Sports Industry as they receive Graduate School lecture materials from a course in Sports Media and Communications.
Developing and implementing marketing.plans, including the solicitation of sponsorships, for game events, all-star games etc. at the high school, college and minor league levels will provide a successful intern with an offer for a Marketing Manager position at the completion of the internship.
