The Chicago Cubs currently have an internship opening in our Community Affairs department. Responsibilities will include assisting in team's charitable and community efforts and special events working with Cubs designated charities, administering the donation program for the team, coordinating the scoreboard message program, the on-line auction, various special projects and general office duties.
Candidates with experience in the non-profit sector, special events or a related discipline are preferred. Additional candidate requirements include proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products, excellent interpersonal, organization and communication skills, and the ability to work the entire 2010 baseball season during normal business hours, in addition to nights and weekends as needed. Candidates must also be available for all home baseball games and must be available on a full-time basis from December 2009 through November 2010.
