Director of Ticket Sales - Peoria Rivermen

The Peoria Rivermen seeks qualified candidates for the position of Director of Ticket Sales. This position oversees all aspects of Ticket Sales inventory, including season tickets, premium seats, suites, group tickets and promotional ticket packages sold to both corporations and the general public.
Responsibilities:
• Directly manage sales staff and hospitality inventory to assure dynamic leadership, motivation and staff production of department revenue objectives.
• Oversee and aggressively achieve departmental sales goals pertaining to all events.
• Mentor sales staff regarding general business questions, daily objectives, and procedural expectations.
• Administrative responsibilities include sales tracking, staff sales totals, memos, commissions, implementation of creative package sales, scheduling, etc.
• Daily supervision of staff to assure call logs and sales objectives are met. Includes disciplinary action and motivation as needed.
• Conduct sales meetings and extensive sales training.
• Participation in departmental strategic planning to include overall business operations and objectives.
• Maintain current personal sales goals and objectives and conducts sales appointments with direct reports.
• Responsible for renewing, maintaining, and upgrading current season ticket holder accounts.
• Develop prospecting opportunities for use as sales leads from various media sources.
• Directly supervise Account Executives and interns.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university
• Two to four years Sales Management experience and a minimum of five years overall sports industry experience.
• The position will entail working all regular season home games as well as hours outside of the traditional 9 to 5.
