Qualifications: This is a great opportunity for any Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Administration graduate student. This may be either a currently enrolled student or a qualified individual interested in entering the graduate program at Western Illinois University.
In return for working 20 hours a week, you will be provided with a tuition waiver and a monthly stipend of $910.

Duties: IPRA Graduate Assistantship Responsibilities
-15 Hours per week dedicated to working on IPRA projects and events
-5 Hours per week dedicated to working in WIU RPTA Office
-Prepare two monthly surveys for the IPRA membership to distribute via semi-monthly newsletter and tabulate results for distribution, including additional research for futher study.
-Assist professionals with research and resource development for new professional development opportunities: communities of practice and leadership development groups.
-Coordinate regional networking events for the western and northern part of the state.
-Work as a member of the IPRA staff to develop and host 1-2 educational workshops per semester.
-Serve as an IPRA team member on annual conference and other educational and event opportunities.
-Represent IPRA as a conduit for discussion with Illinois universities and the Student Section of IPRA.
-Based on the P&R Magazines editorial schedule, work with a professional to develop an article for the upcoming issue.
