Qualifications: Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor or master degree in recreation or a related field and have knowledge of college internship/field study and contact/advisor information from their educational institution. He/she must have a valid IL driver’s license and be able to provide their own transportation. A flexible schedule is required due to occasional program scheduling on nights and weekends
Duties: Based upon the season, candidates will be exposed to a variety of opportunities. Specific professional goals will be addressed during interview process in order to meet individual, educational and recreational department needs. Interns can experience programming, facility management, marketing, budgeting, special events, administration, fitness, athletics, special projects and aquatic management depending upon the season. In addition, Professional networking, meetings and agency affiliation work is expected.
