Position Summary:
Octagon is looking for an event coordinator to assist with all aspects of a league sponsorship activation. This includes pre-event coordination & on-site implementation of consumer engagement activities at select league games. This individual will also be asked to provide general account support and occasionally support other account teams within Octagon. The following qualities are critical in ensuring success within this position: organizational skills, professional communication skills (written and verbal), punctuality, motivation, willingness to travel solo often, desire to work as part of a team, flexibility and soccer knowledge.


Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Staff 10-15 WPS games between March 15th and October 15th
• Assist with management of 6-10 on-site temporary staff
• Assist with post-event follow-up, data entry and evaluation
• Coordinate travel arrangements within specified budget parameters
• Assist on overall account team duties and additional programs as needed

Required Qualifications:
• Related bachelors degree
• Desire to learn about and work in sports-related career
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
• Organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to multitask
• Extensive travel and weekend work
• Basic knowledge of event management
• Knowledge, experience and interest in the game of soccer
• Basic apparel industry knowledge is preferred, but not required
